Our History
The Niederbronn Foundry has developed over the centuries a know-how recognized by a loyal and diversified industrial clientele. Its border geographical location in northeastern France gives it international reach.
1769 : Creation of the Foundry by the De Dietrich family
1968 : Installation of the first semi-automatic horizontal molding line dedicated to pressurized boiler body production
1982 : Implementation of the automatic Disamatic vertical molding line
1994 : Commissioning of the hot blast cupola
2008 : The pattern shop equips itself with a first high-speed machining center (HSM), enabling foundry tooling production in record time
2010 : Sale of the foundry by De Dietrich Thermique to Sekco Operating Company
2012 : New high-capacity automatic HWS horizontal molding line
2013 : Production diversification. First spheroidal graphite cast iron melting. Strengthening of commercial team and technical customer support
2014 : Foundry skill enhancement (Cofrend 2 certifications in magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing). Entry into new markets (pumps, construction, and railway)
2015 : International commercial deployment
2016 : First major international contract in the renewable energy market
2023 : Shutdown of the hot blast cupola installed in 1994, operating on coke. Activity decarbonization with the startup of two electric melting furnaces: saving more than 7,600 tons of CO2 per year

Recent major production investments, along with the quality of its skilled teams, place it today among Europe’s most efficient foundries.
The Niederbronn Foundry covers 6 hectares and employs 170 people in Alsace, with turnover between 20 and 25 million euros.

Environnement
The Foundry is engaged in a permanent approach to reducing its environmental impacts. Located near the Northern Vosges regional park, in a city renowned for its thermal baths, compliance with environmental rules and standards is one of the site’s major commitments.
Quality Charter and Service
Quality control is an essential component of our organization. It is focused on customer satisfaction as defined by ISO 9001 standard. It relies on high-performance technical means and the competence of multidisciplinary teams.
To ensure compliance with established rules and their relevance, internal audits are conducted on both products and the quality system.
These audits enable continuous improvement of our processes, based among other things on the following verifications:
- Continuous control of cast iron composition by spectrometry
- Pouring temperature control
- Mechanical tests (tensile, bending, burst)
- Laboratory analysis of molding sand and coke
- Specific operating procedures for ASME Code IV
- Control sequences adapted to different products
